About Us

Cook Craig and Francuzenko was originally formed in 2007 by our founding partner, John Cook. Joined by Alexander Francuzenko and Christopher Craig, the three partners formed the firm we know today as CC&F.

Starting with a firm of just two attorneys, we have expanded over time to seven lawyers, licensed in Virginia, the District of Columbia, and Maryland, as well as six administrative staff. We practice in nearly all jurisdictions in the Virginia/DC Metropolitan area, and in some cases, we are called to serve clients in matters requiring travel outside the region.

John C. Cook, a graduate of the George Washington University Law School, holds licenses in Virginia, Washington D.C., and the state of New York. His practice emphasizes the representation of executives, employees, and small businesses in employment law matters. My. Cook has been recognized in Virginia Super Lawyers for 11 years. Mr. Cook also serves on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, where he has been representing residents and businesses in the Braddock District since 2009.

Christopher T. Craig, A graduate of the George Mason University Antonin Scalia School of Law, has been practicing law throughout Northern Virginia since 1995. Barred in Virginia and Washington D.C., he represents companies, corporations, partnerships, and individuals in business, contract law, estate planning and administration, nonprofit entities, campaigns and elections, and intellectual property. Mr. Craig is active within the Fairfax community and is on the board of multiple public organizations.

Alexander Francuzenko has been engaged in the practice of law for over 23 years, with a concentration in constitutional law and tort law. A graduate of TC Williams School of Law, he is barred in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C. Mr. Francuzenko is active in the state and federal courts in all three jurisdictions. Mr. Francuzenko has been representing constitutional officers and regional jails in the Commonwealth of Virginia for over 21 years.

Broderick Dunn joined the firm as an associate in 2012 and became a partner in 2019. He is a graduate of Washington & Lee University and has been practicing law since 2007. Barred in Virginia and Maryland, Mr. Dunn focuses his practice in the areas of employment law, civil litigation, and commercial business disputes. The firm has three associate attorneys, Philip Krone, Michael Arena, and Andrew Tureaud. They all are barred in Virginia and Washington D.C. and practice in a variety of areas ranging from employment law to constitutional and tort law. They are also members of the Virginia Bar Association and Fairfax Bar Association.

Our firm dedicates itself to addressing the needs of our clients. We doggedly solve problems for our clients, whether through advice and counsel, negotiation, or litigation. Clients in need of representation find our attorneys to be tough, knowledgeable, creative, and fair, but most importantly devoted to protecting their rights and pursuing their legal interests.

We recognize that our clients all come from different means, and we strive to provide cost-effective representation. For example, prospective clients who are concerned about their rights as employees can obtain a flat-fee consultation that includes review of relevant documents, a complete breakdown of Virginia and federal employment law, and an explanation of the employee’s options.

For executives or management needing advice on the negotiation of a severance package, in most cases, our attorneys are able to review and advise in a flat-fee consultation. Employers can receive a quick tutorial to get their businesses into compliance with the law. We can provide assistance in preparing employee handbooks, conduct third party investigations into alleged employee misconduct, and act as an “on call” resource if a contracts, human resources, or other business-related issue arises.

Personal injury and medical malpractice can be permanent, life altering events for the victim. We recognize the sensitive nature of these cases and our attorneys strive to ensure the best representation possible during these difficult times. Our firm can advise a client as to their options, negotiate on their behalf, and if necessary, file a law suit to ensure you recover what you’ve lost.

Our team also practices in a variety of other matters, including tax-exempt organizations, estate and trust planning, administration and litigation, trademark and copyright law and the like. You can learn more about our practice areas and information on consultations and fee structure can be found on our FAQ page.
